Stubborn but finally giving in to common sense, Carl has had to postpone the rest of his blog activities for the rest of the year due to a slight head injury…lest his family forbid him from having seconds at Thanksgiving Dinner and his being covered with Christmas lights for the yearly “Dress Carl Up As a Christmas Tree” event they hold every December 16th on his birthday.
While holiday shopping a few days ago, Carl suffered a moderate blow to the back of his head while attempting to get into the front seat of a car, a lack of balance and control caused by a momentary “off” period Carl was experiencing with his Parkinson’s mediations.
Though still a little sore, Carl is more or less his old self (which may or may not be good news for his family members gathering for Thanksgiving), should recover fully, and is expected to have no complications resulting from the incident…except a slightly sick sense of humor.
But he has to take extra time off in order to be fully ready for the release of his book in January, so it was decided that he not return to blogging until after the first of the New Year of 2010.
Carl apologizes to his readers of this blog for having to postpone some previously-announced posts to another time, but thanks everyone for understanding and wishes all a most blessed, safe, and happy holiday season.

”’you think you got it bad???…just got back from a Thanksgiving Day in Nebraska! My brothers got Wes hooked on target shooting… from a 22 rifle to an AR16…. hmmmm…. he was doing a little too good with that AR16…. very accurate…guess I have to really walk the straight line eh??? tee hee! Well Carl, hope you get the much needed rest & heal up… those darn back seats!!!!!!
